Getting Started on the PayrollPanda Forum

Here are a few tips to help you get started and make the most out of the forum:

1. Registration

The first step to joining our community is to create your forum account (it’s free and takes just a few minutes!). Simply click the "Register" button on the top menu of the page.

Agree to the terms and conditions, fill out the short registration form and choose a username that reflects your professional identity. Once you have an account, you'll be able to participate fully in the forum, including starting new posts, replying to discussions, and subscribing to boards.

Personalising your profile:
  • Click on your name on the top right corner of the menu.
  • Select "User Control Panel" and go to the “Profile” tab to customise your profile settings.

2. Explore the Forum

Once registered, you'll have access to a wide range of discussion boards. The forum is organised into various boards (or categories), dedicated to specific subject areas.

Within each board, you can create individual topics (or threads) and engage in conversations about particular issues or themes. For example, in the "Malaysian Payroll" forum, there might be a "Statutory Contributions" board with a topic like "EPF Rates for 2024."


3. Posting and Participating

Feel free to start a new thread or share your knowledge by joining ongoing discussions, sharing your perspectives, and engaging with fellow members.

Posting a New Topic:
  • Open the relevant board/category.
  • Tap on the "New topic" button.
  • Enter a descriptive subject for your post.
  • Write your message, including any details, questions, or insights.
  • Click "Submit" to publish your post.
Responding to a Topic:
  • Open a topic of interest.
  • Click "Post Reply" to add your contribution to the discussion.
  • Adjust the subject tile if needed and write your message.
  • Click "Submit" to publish your post.

4. Search Function

Utilise the search bar at the top right corner of the forum to find existing discussions relevant to your inquiries. Chances are, someone might have already asked your question, and the forum offers a wealth of past discussions to learn from.


5. Stay Updated

Here are some ways to keep yourself updated on the latest discussions and activities within the forum:

Subscribe to a Board:
  • Locate a board/category that piques your interest.
  • Tap on the "Subscribe forum" button at the bottom.
  • You'll receive notifications whenever someone creates a new post or discussion within that board.
Subscribe to a Topic:
  • Locate a topic within a board that piques your interest.
  • Tap on the wrench icon next to “Post Reply”.
  • Tap on the "Subscribe forum" button.
  • You'll receive notifications whenever someone creates a new post or discussion within that topic.
